Things to See & Do
Things to see and do in NG13, Vale of Belvoir
and surrounding area of our bed and breakfast.
This part of the East Midlands is unspoiled rural England at its best: villages, churches and pubs quietly await your discovery. The grander places, such as Belvoir Castle, Belton House, Doddington Hall, Burleigh House and Newark Castle are highlights amongst a host of smaller places (many belonging to the National Trust) nearby.
Grantham, Newark, Melton Mowbray and Stamford are fascinating historic market towns, and Nottingham with its castle and Lincoln with its cathedral are full of attractions.
Special events such as Newark Antiques Fair, Belton and Burghley Horse Trials, the CLA Game Fair and the National Watersports Centre at Holmepierrepont all have an international profile, but many lesser attractions locally are publicised in the entrance hall at Glebe House.
