Welcome to Glebe House Muston Bed and Breakfast!

GLEBE HOUSE lies in the heart of Leicestershire’s tranquil Vale of Belvoir. This fine Georgian house was once the Rectory and stands next to Muston village church. Little has changed in its two hundred years: every architectural detail of the original building has been retained along with period furniture including four-poster beds. So, in spite of modern plumbing, electricity, central heating, TV and WiFi in all bedrooms, visitors can step back in time to enjoy a more spacious and leisured eighteenth century lifestyle, without having to forgo any twenty-first century benefits.

You will be welcomed by Carole and Andrew in the impressive entrance hall, and shown to your spacious bedroom up the grand staircase and along the corridor. Then you are free to relax in the downstairs reception rooms. On cold winter nights there is a log fire in the Music Room to warm and cheer you. In the evening you can opt to stay in and have a delicious two-course supper or a more elaborate four course dinner which includes local cheeses and biscuits to finish. Otherwise it is only a three-minute walk to the local pub which serves excellent and inexpensive meals. A five minute drive will bring you to the next village and at least half a dozen varied places where you can get a good meal. In the morning you will awake to the smell of freshly-baked bread. Breakfast is served in the dining room and we promise: you will be well looked after. If your stay is for more than one night you will not be chased away during the day. We want you to simply enjoy being here as you throw off the cares of the everyday world and ease into the timeless experience of Glebe House.

Outside there are farm buildings and stables, an orchard and a magnificent vegetable garden together with formal gardens round the house. The sixteen acres includes grazing for sheep and walks for visitors. Beyond lies the whole of the Vale of Belvoir and magnificent views of Belvoir Castle. There is much to explore locally and you will find lots of information at Glebe House about this unspoiled part of the English countryside.
